Due to the handmade nature of these products colours and designs will slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard.
Our Bell totas are handmade by the Barefoot College, an inspirational non-government organisation making a great difference to communities in Rajasthan, India.
Since 1972 the Barefoot College has been providing basic services and solutions to problems in rural communities, with the objective of making them self-sufficient and sustainable. These ‘Barefoot solutions’ can be broadly categorised into solar energy, water, education, health care, rural handicrafts, people’s action, communication, women’s empowerment and wasteland development. We have seen for ourselves the incredible work the college is doing and are truly inspired by it.
The products themselves are made from rags left over from the garment industry.
You can buy these products safe in the knowledge that you are directly helping the people who have made them.
